IOS 6 Passbook in action

Even though IOS 6 is still in beta mode right now, here`s a look at what this will mean for frequent travellers.

This comes from a company called PassK.it, they`re hoping to get some business by helping  other companies create cards for your iPhone wallet. Things like gift vouchers, airline passes, coupons etc. Passkit's lead developer (and his adorable daughter) tried the system out by replicating boarding passes for Thai Airways in the hopes that no old fashioned paper documentation would be needed to fly.

The experiment failed, Hong Kong International Airport isn't ready for paperless jet setting, yet.

Scanning travel passes from a phone is nothing new, but combining all of your papers and passes, tickets and whatnot into one central app is a new.
