The Leap, gesture controls done right.

Leap Motion has just announced a new 3D gesture based control system that it claims is 200 times more accurate than anything else on the market, for just $70.

The Leap uses a small USB input device packed with sensors (no comment from them as to which ones) and sophisticated software to provide accuracy of around a hundredth of a millimeter. That means their gesture control system can handle things like pinch-to-zoom and other touch style gestures.
The device monitors a space around four cubic feet in size, and can track individual finger tips, the whole hand, or inanimate objects. The Leap is expected to be available early next year.
