Times are tough for RIM,Looks like they`re trying to sell one of thier two corporate jets for around $6 million.
The jet sale is part of a plan RIM wants to implement that should save the company around $1 billion in annual operating expenses. They also plan on slashing 5,000 jobs, and are going to be asking some RIM employees to work six days a week and dump their vacation time. It is estimated that the jet sale will save the company only around $2.1 million in operating costs a year, but these kind of moves are necessary to keep employee morale high in the midst of job cuts. “With corporate aviation, the symbolism far outweighs the dollars,”
