In 50 years people will forget Steve Jobs but revere Bill Gates
In an interview in Toronto just recently author Malcolm Gladwell had a very interesting prediction which tech leader will be remembered in 50 years time.
According to Gladwell, people a half-century from now will revere Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates but will have no memory of his longtime tech rival, Apple chief Steve Jobs. He also claims there will be statues of Bill Gates across the Third World. There’s a reasonable shot that — because of his money — we will cure malaria.
Right, so in IF Billy throws enough money at this problem and IF a cure is found then kudos to Bill Gates, this would save countless lives and I would agree, people should memorialize this man`s efforts. But in the context of the tech industry I think Steve Jobs will have a much longer lasting legacy.
