AMD have said they plan on incorporating ARM's TrustZone security technology into AMD microprocessors starting next year.
TrustZone, ARM's established security system is the dominant security technology for smartphones and tablets. This alliance with AMD would give ARM's technology a presence in personal computers and eventually servers, the workhorse computers that run Internet data centres. It would no doubt also make AMD`s Opteron line more attractive, and probably end up filtering down to their mobile and desktop lines too.
